Outsourcing Internet Marketing
How To Replace Yourself
Outsource Internet Marketing
“Can you really outsource internet marketing?”
So you heard a lot about how you could outsource internet marketing but don’t know where to start? if you are new to the internet marketing scene or simply trying to market your own business online, chances are you’ve been doing everything yourself. By now you’re probably aware of the information overload that comes with internet marketing and that you cannot simply do everything yourself. How would you like to free up more time so that you can focus on the important tasks such as making deals, driving traffic and making sales.
When starting out online, you tend to multitask to the point where you’re getting things done in drips and drabs, never fully completing the actual task. The logical solution would to be outsource internet marketing to a virtual assistant to free up your working schedule. Some people complain that if they outsource their work then they won’t be able learn all the new internet marketing strategies or processes. However the fact is, if you try and do everything yourself then you will just end up wearing yourself down and getting all depressed, kicking the bucket in saying “this doesn’t work” and call it a scam.
Just think about it like this, you turn the lights on everyday but do you need to know the specific details of how electricity works? No you only care about what electricity does for you such as watching tv, charging your phone etc. The same thing applies in outsourcing internet marketing, you don’t need to know everything in specific detail, you should be concerned with only the outcome. As a online marketer, you need to think of the big picture and focus on the things that will make you sales.
Learn to let go and outsource the tasks that are repetitive and that are taking up your time. If you’re not skilled at creating high quality graphics, don’t spend 3 hours trying to learn photoshop. Outsource it to someone who is skilled in graphic design and get the job done.

When you are just starting out online, you may not be in a financial position to afford a full time staff. As time goes by, the more successful you become, your work becomes more demanding and there are more tasks that require completion. Whether you are running blogs, niche sites or membership sites, your website will need constant information updating or link building. At this stage, you may be considering hiring a full time permanent assistant ie an employee that is actually on the payroll and works under your company name, but the problem with this is that there is a lot of paperwork required and usually leads to a legal nightmare.
A more ideal solution is to hire a remote worker such as a online virtual assistant. Often times, these individuals are tertiary educated and are multi-skilled at handling your administrative tasks along with providing support in other areas such as article writing, answering emails and researching for you.
Some virtual assistants can be skilled in a particular area such as html languages so you’re essentially getting 2 people for the price of one where the person can design your sites and answer your phone calls. The best thing of all is that you can outsource internet marketing to a virtual assistant will mean that they will work from their own location no matter where in the world the world they are located.
How I Started To Outsource Internet Marketing
I actually got started with outsourcing internet marketing from John Jonas, the creator of “Replace Myself”. Through Replace Myself, I was able to find virtual assistants ranging from $250 per month to $500 per month. The good thing about hiring a VA is that it’s tax deductible as an expense and you do not have to deal with ongoing health insurances and expenses. You could even get virtual assistants for less than $250 per month however they are usually not as skilled and won’t hit the ground running. When you do hire a virtual assistant, this is a full time person working 40 hours per week, Mondays to Fridays in your business for you. You can teach this person everything in your business from social media to bookmarking and even link building.
For example, if you’re running an affiliate business, you can do some staff training and find a product for your assistant to promote. Have your virtual assistant setup the site, join the affiliate program on your behalf, have them do SEO ie article marketing, content creation, link building and all you have to do is guide them and collect the cheques.
Your Job As The CEO
Your job is to be the CEO of your business, a knowledge worker. You shouldn’t be doing things like setting up WordPress, submitting articles or building links to your site. If you are doing this, then you are not spending time being ahead of the curve. You need to understand your business goals and where you want your online business to go. So as the CEO, you need to build relationships, gather information, synthesise ie break down the information and build systems to have someone else do it.
You should do what makes you the most money and running the business not working IN the business. Not menial tasks like SEO, writing articles, PPC, building blogs or social bookmarking etc
So given what you now know about how to outsource internet marketing, in the future you should be able to implement all the ebooks or courses you bought by outsourcing your work to your team of assistants. For example, lets say you just bought an online course or product, spent 15 minutes reading the product, your next step is breaking down the information for your outsourcing guys and get them to read the book (ignoring certain chapters that don’t related to your business) and give them access to certain username and passwords.
As a CEO of your businesss, you need to understand everything about the business, narrowing down the processes and learn everything you need to know about the tasks at hand.
Where To Outsource
After experimenting with hiring virtual assistants in India and the Philippines, my personal preference is the Philippines. I have personally found that when you outsource internet marketing to the Philippines is more cost effective and that your staff tends to stay with you for longer. This is not to imply that are Indian virtual assistants are bad – not at all. If by chance you find an Indian virtual assistant that is skilled, honest and suitable to your budget then by all means give them a trial.
Why The Philippines?
The Philippines are loyal, honest and super hardworking people. The never quite unless you let the go so I want you to focus on seeing them as a long term business solutions. Like Americans, the Philippines are very westernised, they think like Americans and will usually do it right the first time, even if it’s not right, they will try and fix it. They speak with an American English accent so they also sound like Americans. Now often times, I get people asking me well if they are so good and making money for you, why aren’t they doing it themselves instead of making $3 an hour? What I’ve notice about the Phillipines is that they focus on getting the job done, they are not entrepreneurial and for them working for a foreigner is like an elevated status. The all have computers and internet so they don’t need to go anywhere, it allows them to stay close to the family and they can work from home.
Who Can You Hire?
In the Philippines, you can hire programmers, copywriters, graphic designers, webmeisters, telemarketers and even people to run your PPC campaigns. Most of the time, you will not be able to find people who will be able to do everything you want them to do. They won’t know how to run your business so you’re going to have to teach them.

Where Do You Hire Virtual Pilipino Workers?
Hands down, the best site to look for workers in the Philipines is bestjobs.ph and is only available when you are a member of John Jonas’s Replace Myself Program. ON bestjobs.ph, you can search for employees that are actively looking for work in the past month or week. All their resumes are on display and you are given access to their emails to contact them and arrange for an interview. Although there are other places online that allow you to hire virtual assistants, what I like about bestjobs.ph is that it’s run by John Jonas, who has a solid reputation in the internet marketing industry. The other reason why I go through the Replace Myself program to access bestjobs.ph is because John provides a whole bunch of training videos for you to hand over to your virtual assistant. This saves you countless hours which means you don’t have to sit there and create hundreds of video tutorials.
Hiring Tips:
On an final note, I like to leave you with some hiring tips for outsourcing internet marketing.
Tip 1: In order to make a decision to hire someone, the first thing you should do is give the person a difficult task. A tasks that pertains to what you hired them for . For example, i you hired an article writer, get them to write a few keyword optimised articles. For virtually assistants, I usually get them to set up WordPress tasks on a domain, get them to change a theme and write a post of the page. Make sure you tell them if they have problems as you as many times as required, don’t leave them out to dry.
Tip 2: Give them bonuses for good work. a $50 bonus each month is significant for someone who is on $400 a month which is considered a solid middle class income.
Tip 3: Let them figure things out for you, you don’t need to baby your virtual assistant. If you can’t figure it out, let them try.
Tip 4: Use Jingproject, it’s a free screen capture and screen recording software by the makers of Camtasia and is superfast and easy to use. This allows you to create quick and easy training videos for your assistant.
